The prospect of seeing one of the Magpies’ most recognisable former players back at St James’ Park would certainly attract attention from fans.

Beardsley played a significant role in Newcastle United’s history, featuring in two spells with the club and earning admiration for his creativity, technical ability and intelligence on the pitch. His contributions helped make him a memorable figure among generations of Newcastle supporters.

A return to the club in a coaching position would represent a new chapter for the former England international, allowing him to draw on his experience as a player and coach. However, Newcastle United have not been confirmed to have appointed Peter Beardsley as their new coach. Supporters should wait for an official club announcement before treating the story as genuine.

Could Peter Beardsley one day return to Newcastle United in a coaching role? What do you think, Magpies fans?
