Reports indicate that Newcastle’s latest offer includes $700,000 for the 2028 season, but the proposed extension has not yet been confirmed as accepted. Rival clubs, particularly the Parramatta Eels, are reportedly monitoring the situation.

Head coach Justin Holbrook is understood to have a major role in Newcastle’s long-term plans, with the club keen to maintain a competitive squad after an impressive season. Holbrook recently extended his own contract until the end of 2030, providing stability as Newcastle works to retain its key players.

In this DONE DEAL scenario, Best agrees to a contract extension worth $700,000, provided certain conditions are met. These could include a clear role as a starting centre, improved support from the club’s attacking structure, access to high-quality medical and fitness facilities, and a commitment to building a squad capable of challenging for the NRL premiership.

The reported agreement would represent a significant boost for Knights supporters, who want to see the powerful centre remain in Newcastle’s famous red-and-blue colours. Best’s strength, speed and ability to break defensive lines make him an important attacking weapon, and keeping him alongside the club’s other leading players would help preserve continuity.

However, the contract extension and the conditions described above are fictional and have not been confirmed by the Newcastle Knights or Bradman Best. The real negotiations remain unresolved according to the latest reporting. Fans will be watching closely to see whether Newcastle can reach an agreement before rival clubs have an opportunity to make their moves.

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

1
48
post-25310","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-newcastle-knights
<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.1 -
