However, controversy surrounding Jefferson Lerma’s goal before half-time drew criticism, with questions raised about the officiating and the handling of the incident.

According to the the proposed disciplinary action would include a record financial penalty and a permanent ban from refereeing professional football. Such a punishment would represent an extraordinary development and would raise significant questions about the standards expected of match officials.

Supporters of Nottingham Forest would welcome a thorough review of the disputed decisions, while others would insist that any disciplinary action must follow a fair and transparent investigation.

Howard Webb and Danielle Every have been associated with the leadership of Pro Ref, the organisation responsible for overseeing professional refereeing in England. However, there is no verified confirmation that Peter Bankes has been fined or permanently banned following this match.

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

1
28
post-25108","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-nothingham-forest
<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.1 -
