However, a dramatic claim circulating online has drawn attention to his private life and his long-standing marriage to Carol McParland.

Peter McParland was married to Carol, and the couple had two sons, Paul and Nicholas. Public accounts of McParland’s later years describe Carol as his wife and an important part of his family life. The couple remained together during his retirement years, with McParland living in Bournemouth after his football career.

The online claim alleges that Carol had been involved romantically with a former Aston Villa player. However, no credible publicly available source has confirmed that allegation, and it should therefore not be presented as an established fact.

McParland himself left behind a remarkable football legacy. He scored 121 goals in 341 appearances for Aston Villa and became famous for scoring both goals in Villa’s 2–1 victory over Manchester United in the 1957 FA Cup final. He also played a major role in Northern Ireland’s historic 1958 World Cup campaign, scoring five goals as the team reached the quarter-finals.

Peter McParland died on 4 May 2025 at the age of 91. Reports following his death continued to describe Carol as his wife and highlighted the family’s presence during his final farewell.

For now, the alleged relationship involving Carol and a former Aston Villa player remains unverified, rather than a confirmed revelation.

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

1
132
post-24846","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-aston-villa-fc

BOMSHELL ANNOUNCEMEN: Aston Villa FC Legendary left-back Peter McParland confirmed that his Ex wife long-term patner Wife: Carol McParland was been Sleeping with the Aston Villa Former M….see more - topupsport

<meta name="description" content="Aston Villa legend Peter McParland remains one of the most celebrated figures in the club’s history.
