It was a difficult day nonetheless. We just got off the practice field, so I know that people want to talk about signings because it’s Early Signing Day. As a result, we’re practicing, getting ready for a game, and trying to complete this portion of recruiting at the very least. We’re really happy with the class, but there are still a few guys we’re clearly interested in, who may sign in the coming days or who may wait until February. I believe having a large number of mid-year players is crucial to their development, as we have a wealth of talented players.
This is the result of numerous people working extremely hard. Our coaching staff did an excellent job, in my opinion. All of the people who work in athletic administration and the academic community as well as the university community as a whole do an excellent job of supporting us. I’m excited about these players since they’ve all worked incredibly hard to help us put together an excellent class. Some of them are here; I won’t go through each one individually or anything. We have a few guys who may join us later, and I believe we have a good number of guys who are practicing already. I believe there’s a whopping maybe222

Thus, the emphasis remains on the fact that excellence comes with a cost; it cannot be obtained for free. improving your fundamentals, completing plays, persevering, concentrating on blocking and tackling, and taking good care of the ball. There are numerous details that we must pay close attention to in order to try and regain our confidence and team momentum so that everyone is playing together and we have a clear idea of what has to be done in order to have a chance to play winning football when the game is played.”
