Fans of the Clemson football programme are hoping that 2024 will be the year the Tigers make a comeback and climb back to the top of the standings.
It is expected that this team will be stronger in 2024, but that is not a guarantee. Before Clemson can achieve the kind of success they formerly experienced, they have a lot of parts to fit together, and Dabo Swinney and his coaching staff are the ones who can make it happen.
In a recent Always College Football broadcast, ESPN college football expert Greg McElroy shared his predictions for Clemson ahead of the 2024 campaign. McElroy believes that the Tigers have some potential for the 2024 campaign.
“Dabo Swinney did not add a transfer,” McElroy remarked. “Another portal came and went, another portal season, portal cycle, whatever you want to call it.” But they made an effort. They pursued several offensive linemen. However, if you look at the squad from last year, they did win five straight games towards the end, and part of the reason I’m optimistic about Clemson this year is that many of the players who were essential to that run of games were young players.
McElroy is an expert in his field and has calculated the potential offensive configuration for Clemson in 2024. not only the attack but also the defensive line. Here are some of his comments regarding the offence of the Tigers.
“Cade Klubnik is back at quarterback. Another year passes, and Garrett Riley is back in the system. I would assume that he is more advanced now that he feels a little more at ease in the system he is accustomed with. According to McElroy, “so maybe he’s going to the next level there in Garrett Riley’s system.”
