The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, who were in their division, 34–20 to tighten their hold on the AFC North.

The Bengals received additional unfavorable news when quarterback Joe Burrow sustained a wrist injury.

After being tackled by Ravens linebacker Jadeveon Clowney in the second quarter, Burrow looked hurt as he hit Joe Mixon for a four-yard touchdown pass the following play.

The Bengals led 10–7 after that, but the Ravens took over as Burrow went to the medical tent and had trouble throwing on the sideline.

With just 23 seconds remaining in the half, Lamar Jackson connected with Rashod Bateman for a 10-yard touchdown pass to extend their lead, which they never seemed to relinquish. Jackson also completed another touchdown pass in the second quarter.

On Wednesday, backup quarterback AJ McCarron was released by the Cincinnati Bengals. The 33-year-old McCarron played in two Bengals games in the previous campaign. He spent the majority of the season on the team’s practice squad before being added to the active roster on December 4. With just five pass attempts, he completed four for 19 yards. After Joe Burrow suffered a wrist injury that ended the season, he filled in as the backup quarterback behind Jake Browning. Throughout his career, McCarron has made 19 appearances (four starts) for three teams, two of which are the Bengals (2015–17; 2023). He has thrown six touchdowns for 1,192 yards. In 2014, McCarron was selected by Cincinnati in the fifth round. –Media at the Field Level
