The Dallas Mavericks’ two biggest stars, Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, are eager to make an impression during the upcoming NBA season and show that they are capable of being the lethal duo that everyone expects them to be after an obviously “horrible” season.

The Mavericks made an attempt to acquire Irving in February of the previous year, hoping that his arrival from Brooklyn at American Airlines Centre would strengthen a team that mainly depended on Doncic.

It was challenging to form a winning alliance quickly, and in the 16 games the two played together, Dallas finished 5–11, missing both the play-in tournament and the playoffs.

The world is eager to watch how two titans of the basketball court, Doncic and Irving, can work together. Irving acknowledges that it will be difficult, but he is up to the challenge.

Irving feels “at peace” going into the new season and has been enjoying his time in Abu Dhabi so far, going camel riding and eating in the desert with his teammates. An added bonus is that they had a full training camp and preseason together.

Irving stated, “I can honestly tell you that it’s much more peaceful and you can set your expectations of where you want them to be.”

“Just use training camp to develop yourself and your teammates, as well as your coaches.” You kind of have no choice but to connect and get to know each other better when you’re in international waters. All I can say is, thank you for that chance. When I was traded, Dallas was nothing but loving toward me. They’ve been embracing me warmly and encouraging me to be authentic. I’m thankful because I’m at peace.
