A move that many found startling was made by the Philadelphia 76ers just before the NBA trade deadline. They sent guard Cam Payne and a second-round selection to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Patrick Beverley.

Beverley, a free agent who joined the Sixers, developed become a vital cog in the supporting group. He led the vocal section with experience and added passion to the dance floor. Especially in terms of defence.

Many others have shared their opinions after this transfer was made official. Magic Johnson, the legendary point guard, was one of those who did so. The point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers believes Beverley will help the Bucks in a critical area.

The Bucks are bringing a three-time All-Defense guard to their roster, which is a step backward defensively after they traded for Damian Lillard this offseason.

This move is similar to when they acquired P.J. Tucker at the trade deadline in 2021 on their way to winning a championship.

Milwaukee is going through some growing pains following their head coaching change, but they are still among the top teams in the Eastern Conference standings; they are currently in third place with a record of 33-19.

Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers have jumped ahead of them, but it is only by two games.
