The Washington Huskies defeated the Texas Longhorns 37-31 in the Allstate Sugar Bowl and will advance to the national championship to face Michigan.
Michael Penix Jr. played great, completing 29 of 38 passes for 430 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Huskies’ receivers also played well as Rome Odunze caught 6 balls for 125 yards.
.Ja’Lynn Polk also contributed 122 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The Longhorns had a chance to get the win in the final minute, but couldn’t reach Quinn Ewers’ final pass to Adonai Mitchell.
However, Washington received bad news when the team lost star RB Dillon Johnson in the final minute of the fourth quarter.
