With a career-high and franchise-record 70 points and 18 rebounds, Joel Embiid led the host Philadelphia 76ers to a 133-123 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.

With a career-high and franchise-record 70 points and 18 rebounds, Joel Embiid led the host Philadelphia 76ers to a 133-123 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.

The current MVP, Joel Embiid, joined Wilt Chamberlain (twice) and Allen Iverson as the only players in Philadelphia franchise history to score at least 60 points in a single game.

Embiid eclipsed Chamberlain’s previous franchise record of 68 points, which was achieved against the Chicago Bulls on December 16, 1967.
